WINS LATIN GRAMMY® AWARD

Rumba Palace Claims Best Latin Jazz Album

Cleveland-based Telarc International Corporation is proud to announce that Cuban trumpet virtuoso Arturo Sandoval has been awarded a Latin GRAMMY® in the category of Best Latin Jazz Album by the Latin Recording Academy for Rumba Palace, released on May 22, 2007. Winners were announced at the 8th Annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards Ceremony on Thursday, November 8, at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The ceremony was broadcast live on the Univision Network.

Produced by Sandoval, Rumba Palace is titled after his newest nightclub in Miami Beach, Florida, and features ten new compositions that highlight the celebrated trumpeter’s Latin side. Sandoval has now won five GRAMMY® Awards, six Billboard Awards and an Emmy Award. Rumba Palace is Sandoval’s 28th recording.

“I am thrilled to have received this GRAMMY®,” Sandoval says. “It is always such an honor to be recognized by the Latin Recording Academy and my peers. I am extremely grateful.”

“The fun thing about Arturo Sandoval’s Rumba Palace is how well it captures the essence of the joy of the Cuban dance vibe, and the Cuban spirit in America,” says Telarc President Bob Woods.
